Forensic Triage lab is broken. It will work for about 15 minutes, then in goes blank and nothing can be done. I’ve tried to finish this lab twice with the same thing happening. Complete waste of time.
Hey there - this lab worked as expected a few weeks ago during development and testing, but I’m running through it now. Would you mind clarifying if the screen goes blank at a specific step (or cluster of steps) or if it’s happening at random (but roughly 15 minutes into the lab)?
Okay, I think this might be a broader issue - not specific to this one lab. Engineering is looking into it, should be fixed shortly.
Triage (Part 1: Collection) is still broken. The “Collection Target” machine seems to be the problem. Soon after the memory collection via FTK Imager is started the machine crashes to black screen and eventually shows this:
The other machines in the lab seem to be working fine.
I can confirm, this lab is not working in production, it works fine in staging.
Ah, this is only happening after running the memory capture. We’ll look into this with Engineering.

Okay, I believe we’ve fixed this. We recently added a limit on NetworkOut data transfer to prevent abuse, which had the unintended consequence of breaking this lab during the memory transfer. Apologies for the disruption!
