When doing the 1.2 virtual lab for Incident Response, I get lack of memory space errors from almost every tool used, including FTK and GKAPE. Is there a way to work around this so I can still do the lab? I see some are having the same issue but I haven’t seen a resolution.
Let me check. I know the team wanted to “right size” a few images in the cloud. This could be related.
I just ran though the lab and challenge without issue.
I have tried restarting my machine and other measures but no luck. I get to about 98% on the FTK progress bar and it gives me a lack of memory error. I originally had the issue yesterday, but attributed it to an outage because I couldn’t log on for the rest of the day. I assumed the issues were related.
I believe I have found the issue, and it was on my part. I believe myself and many others who ran into trouble with the same issue missed step 3, resulting in insufficient memory. My mistake but hopefully others can learn from it.
