I need guidance/Suggestion in how to break into Cyber Security domain.
I have 17 years of work experience with Cisco VoIP domain. However I want to transit to Security domain. I have cleared my Security+ and ISC2 CC basic certs. Problem i am facing is people are not ready to give me chance as i have 17 years of experience.
Hi, i am in the same boat. got certs and no job. some agencies are offering starting pay at $15 in the US. ridiculous.
i will try pen tester now and get my cert in CEH.
see where it leads. i am 57 fighting to survive here.

I will be 59 in December. I have the CEH and I can’t say it does much for pentesting. It’s a good cyber cert, just not a great cert for pentesting. If you want to go that route I recommend the Cybrary Penetration Tester career path (naturally) and I really like the training at TCM and the PNTP certification in particular. I think that will be more bang for your buck than CEH.
