lab 1.2 at Backup, at the last question it is asking the flag mentioned in this file Company Holidays which does not exist on system. Checked all logs from backup, and even restored the deleted folder from bin ( initial steps when lab is started). No such file exists. I reset the lab, did it from scratch… still no such file exists.
Has anyone the answer cause this is getting frustrating.
Know that these courses are free of charge to do, but still they should take care of their labs at Cybrary. If this is happening in free courses how can you trust that this wont happen in paid ones?
In the lab you are asked to delete the backup you created during the lab and replace it with a zipped up copy. This zipped up copy has the Company Holidays.rtf file.
The one issue I do see is that you are told to restore files to C:\ and not to C:\Sales which confused me at first. But if you delete the backup you made in the lab, and extract the zip file as instructed, you will see the RTF file.
Also, if you “reset” the lab by logging out and then back in, you likely will end up on the same lab servers. You have to let about 10 min pass before you come back in to get a clean set of lab servers.
I also made sure all the steps work and all the answers shown are correct:
As i said… i did it step by step by erasing also the existing folder with the windows image backup. Step by step, no deviation. There was simply no file in it. Notice… been in the industry for more than 20 years. Really know what i am doing. In purpose i did not delete any file also. Last time left it under different name so no alteration may come to them. Did it 3 times in 2 days. To no avail. I checked recovery logs also… no file in there.
I could record my screen , though it can not be attached here. There is simply no file there.
Just tested the lab and confirmed it works as well. I’ve linked a recording below.
If you have a minute, would you mind sharing a recording showing the same steps? If there’s an issue here that we’ve missed, I would love to chase that down and get it fixed.
