VPC is not exclusive to AWS!
Please update the text of this brand new course.
Thank you.
@spirnia Thank you for your feedback.
The cloud course material does not claim the term VPC is “exclusive” to AWS. It says that a VPC is a “logically isolated section” and a “foundational networking structure” in AWS. It is also a “logically isolated section” and a “foundational networking structure” in other cloud vendors as well (e.g. IBM and Google use the term VPC, however Azure uses the term VNet but it is the same concept).
I feel the way the text is written is misleading.
It needs an asterisk that explains VPC is common terminology in the field.
I am curious to hear from fellow Cybrarians now about the wording of those two sentences.
I appreciate your insight and I will pass on your recommendation.
