Hello there, please I’m struggling with the cryptographic hash function task. I can’t find the answer to the number 2.

Hey there - it looks like your screenshot didn’t upload, but assuming you’re referring to the Guided Exercise, you can get the answer to Task 2 by completing Step 13.

Using the openssl dgst command, create sha256 hashes for happypuppy.exe, file2, and file3.

If you’re referring to Task 2 of the Challenge Exercise, then the idea is that you would generate hashes for the two programs listed, then compare if them. If they are the same, then the programs are the same. If they are different, then the programs are different.
