Knowing my career path

Hi
I am following the IT & cyber security foundations course.
I plan on moving along to gain a Network+ and Security+ certificates.
However, I am not sure which career path to take.
I am getting on in years, but have a sound technical and computing background.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @joeninety

You are on the right path. After completing a course like " Introduction to IT & Cybersecurity" you should have a better understanding of the different career paths you can take.

But don’t take my word for it - the FAQ channel on Cybrary Discord pretty much says the same thing:

What career path is right for me?

The biggest decision in career paths depends on your background and in what you are interested. After doing the IT fundamentals or the Information Security Fundamentals it should give you a good background on what the differences are.

You can read the rest of the FAQ channel in Discord here: Discord

Also helpful - Career Paths are tied to the Skill Tracker section in Cybrary:

So, if you take the Skills Tracker Assessments for the Career Path you want to embark on, it will tell you where you rank and which steps and courses you need to take to achieve your goals.

Hopefully this helps!
