Guided Exercise 1.2 lab under Group Policy Basics under Operating System Fundamentals is getting borked prior to finishing it after creating AD, some time before Part 3. VM just stops responding and freezes or the page reloads and I get connected to a fresh lab.
Hey there - in the Group Policy Basics lab, there are a few points in Part 2 where the system is expected to reboot, at which point the lab will seem to hang or disconnect. The instructions should notify you when this is to be expected and how to navigate it - specifically at Part 2, Steps 3 and 5.
If the lab is actually freezing at a point other than the ones identified above, could you please let me know exactly which step this seems to occur at? I’ve tested the lab, but haven’t been able to replicate an unexpected crash.
First (lesser) problem is when you reload the lab during reboots, you lose all your answers to the tasks, which is annoying.
Second problem is that something happened to my lab several times throughout the course of the lab that caused a complete reload of the lab, resetting the VM, and it wasn’t the time limit. I was simply following the instructions in the course. It happened several times and I ended up skipping parts to be able to finish it. I would need to go through the whole lab again in order to try to pinpoint where exactly it is happening, unfortunately don’t have several hours to waste currently. If you cannot replicate it, just ignore the report. There were also issues with other labs not working some days prior to this, so perhaps this was related, I don’t know.
