Part 2. file operation not the same

Hi, am I the only one getting different outcome?

The cd command works like this:

cd place_you_want_to_go

So cd ~ means “take me home”. The “~” is Linux shorthand for “home” or in the case of the cybrary user /home/cybrary.

In the lab you want to go to the labwork directory which you made in the “home” directory for user cybrary.

Thus you would use cd labwork (take me to labwork) but you need to first be in the “home directory” OR you can use cd /home/cybrary/labwork from anywhere.
