I am stuck on the penguin land challenge, I have found the files that were left behind but it appears you need vim to read them which is not installed. I have tried installing vim but you must know cybrarys password. Can someone please advise on how I could move on?
Usernames and passwords for each system are available on the Machines tab on the left
The instructor’s solution guide also notes that “you can examine the swap files with either with the strings command, or using the -r flag to recover the original vim file”
I have attempted to install vim multiple times but keep getting a 404 error from the kali server, any ideas?
Try vi, you should not need to install anything on the lab image.
