Unable to proceed due to incorrect answer on this question: According to WHOIS, when was the suspicious domain registered?
Tried every format, still incorrect.

I searched for coigate[.]com. Then used the creation date as the answer 2023-12-28
I would recommend reviewing the results of the email analyzer in Part 2. You’re close, but that’s not the correct spelling of the suspicious domain revealed in the .eml file.

Hi @CalmQuail2332 I am also having the same issue but I am currently typing in co1gate[.]com and it returns error when retrieving data. Do you have any solutions for this?
Hi @Niflheim, the mxtoolbox sometimes shows error in retrieving, try to use different whois search. Try https://who.is/ then type the domain

You’re not doing anything wrong - there appears to be a problem with the WHOIS results via MXtoolbox. This is one of the risks of using third-party resources for realism within Virtual labs.
I’ve flagged this to the instructor to see if there’s anything we can do to fix it.

As both of these rockstars identified, the creation date can also be found at https://who.is and virustotal.com. Some other alternatives are:
- ICANN Lookup
- The whois command-line utility (i.e., whois co1gate.com)
Since MXToolBox doesn’t like this scant domain, I’ve changed the instructions + bookmark to leverage https://who.is instead.
