@JosephWhite I got a problem, i can ping Linux-B and Browser-B. But I cant seem to get the flag. I followed the guided exercise, added ip addresses and gateway, etc. I dont know what iam missing, since I got the objective. Can I get help with finding what iam missing.
I’ll send you a message…
I have this same issue. From Linux-A, I can ping linux-b, but I cannot ping browser-b. What am I missing? When I run the flag it does say “I can resolve browser-b”, but then it says “I cannot ping browser-b”. Not sure where I need to look to fix this - Linux-A or Browser-B?
“I can resolve browser-b” means that the DNS issue is resolved. However, that does not fix the network issue, and that issue is found on browser-b itself.
Hello I have managed to ping linux-b from linux-a, but the session expired when I was retrieving the flag
could you please help me?
To get the flag you need to be able to ping and resolve both linux-b and browser-b from linux-a.
If you can show me that, I will message you privately.
I know some have an issue getting the flag to work even when they do the lab correctly. I’m willing to “bend the rules” for those folks, but I have to see the full lab working.
Hello, apologies for the late answer, I have repeated the lab and managed to get the flag.
As a tip for the colleagues trying it, it only worked for me when I restarted Linux-A, Linux-B and Browser-B after each change (changes i pfsense, in resolv.conf, in the interfaces file). I would recommend you insert this information in the lab description. Because of not restarting the servers, I had to make this lab 3 times (and the fourth time, because the machine time-outed when it was runnnig the flag).
