Tunnel cake challenge - help needed

When i try to connect to host-C from host-A with the private rsa key that i got from host-B, i get prompted for a password. Has anyone else had this problem? I transfered the key by copying and pasting it from the msfconsole to the cybrary user terminal by using nano. Is there another way to get the rsa key to host A maybe?

I can see the userhost is not the correct user name. The example shown in the challenge is just an example, it’s not to be used literally.

I tried to use the hostname of hostb instead but i still get prompted for the password. And i dont get an error saying its the wrong path to the key-file.

So, you can’t just copy and paste commands. You need to understand the challenge, which I admit is a hard one.

Have you used Nmap and Metasploit to compromise the first machine (target01) and steal credentials?

Only then can you attempt to use the stolen credentials to reach target02 via target1 over two static local SSH tunnels.

yeah, i copied the the rsa key from target01. Or are there other credentials besides the rsa key that your supposed to use?

WHOSE rsa key did you steal
