I have a problem in the Windows Services lab of the IT and Cybersecurity Foundations Path Career. When I try to start the “my service” service an error is generated and I cannot complete the tasks.

me too, have you found the solution??
What I did was wait a couple of days. Then enter again, click back to go to the theoretical part and click forward again to enter the laboratory and repeat the entire activity.
Bro, I don’t have acces to the answer because I finished de course. Joseph answered you with a probe that the lab is running.

i have the same issue bro. i tried the same thing by creating a seperate file and service, but still have the same problem
In my situation, when I created the folder “my service” it somehow created it as my service.exe instead of an actual folder. After deleting “my service.exe” and recreating the folder, confirming it created an actual folder, and copying windowsservice1.exe into the folder I was able to start the service.

I’m having this same issue. I have tried deleting the file and redoing the steps and I have also gotten out of the virtual computer and came back in with no change.

Please look at my screen shot in this thread. I do every single step, and the lab works as written.
If you are having an issue, please show ALL the steps you took (like I did), so we can see where there is an issue or where you may have deviated from the lab steps.
I also followed the same steps twice by rechecking and multiple times and it is throwing the same error as mentioned by this user.
