Been having issues recording HTTP packets in Wireshark, which is obviously an issue since I can’t continue until I answer the questions that depend on those. I am able to record other packets just fine like the telnet traffic. Basically, I am good all the way until step 9 when adding the and http filter and nothing shows up.
I have gone through the lab a few times and am not sure what I am missing. I am running fireefox via the terminal as described in step 22
Hey there - to confirm, you’re launching wireshark from the Terminal Emulator window (cybrary@clabber) and launching firefox from the xTerm window (node: H1 / root@clabber)?
I’ve just tested the lab through Part 1, Step 22 and it seems to be working fine. If you’re not getting any traffic at all in Wireshark - which seems to be the case in your screenshot - you’re likely capturing on the wrong interface or generating traffic in the wrong place. At Part 1, Step 22 your screen should look like this:
